Nomination disapeared from wayfarer

Yesterday i made 2 nominations, got an email-confirmation of both and both showed up in Wayfarer.
This morning one of them is disapeared? How can that be?

This happened to me as well; the nomination showed up in Wayfarer yesterday, August 4th, when I nominated it. I received a confirmation email, and then even edited the title of the nomination. Today, August 5th, it’s totally gone.

My nomination that disappeared reappeared yesterday, and was accepted as a wayspot when it did. I submitted one yesterday, and it appears in my nominations as normal.
There is still one nomination I submitted a week or so ago that disappeared and has not reappeared.

The reply says this happens when they are manually reviewed.
@NianticGiffard it would be helpful (cause less stress and confusion) if either an email was sent straightaway or a place marker was left in a persons nominations saying what has happened.
There has been a theory I have seen that those that receive just a dot as the rejection reason are ones reviewed by Niantic. If any of these that have disappeared and then get rejected could you report if you get the dot.
Let’s be clear, here. Every Wayfarer has a private list of all of their nominations to-date. They can look at every single nomination they’ve ever made, and be informed or reminded about their dispositions.

Now, some Wayfarers are finding that some of their work has vanished from their private personal record.
Niantic marks this as ‘Working as Intended.’ Who the heck added this feature, and why? How come there wasn’t any notification out front, or a placeholder where the nomination used to be?
Hey, I’ve got a good idea! How about we ‘hide’ something you care about, just to cause a little unnecessary angst?
