Tram Stations vs Bus Stations

I just want to ask why Tram Station in Citys are being accepted while Bus Stations dont. I dont really see a big difference between them. Some small towns rely on bus stations but these are not getting accepted.
Sorry for bad english

Pretty simple: only popular/important transit stations are eligible. Bus stations are not that important and so they are ineligible.
Bus stop / Tram stop - just one or two buses or trams pass by - not eligible.
Main Bust Station / Bus terminus - lots of bus routes terminate or pass through here - great place for exploration.
If there is only 1 or 2 bus stops they should absolutely be added that's what makes them unique. You only have to look at the DLR in east London where you can literally see the next stop from the platform yet these are acceptable. If its 1 bus stop in a whole village its is absolutely vital transport link.
I would reject a bus stop but not a bus station. A bus station should be a structure which acts as an interchange where many different bus routes congregate and would not merely be a request stop along a bus route. As such, it will be a meeting place for many people as there will lots of people changing buses.
Where I live, several bus stations (not bus stops) have been accepted. Request stops along a bus route should be rejected as they are usually generic (unless there is a particularly artistic or historic shelter attached to them (e.g. famous a architect designed/built it). Bus stations which will act as an interchange and/or terminus for many bus routes to my mind should be accepted. Maybe the word "bus station" means different things in different languages and different varieties of English so I can only speak from a G.B. context.
Bigger bus stations or ZOBs (Zentraler OmnibusBahnhof/Central Bus station) are okay. However, bus stops are super generic and wouldn't meet any criteria in my point of view.
Isn't that what I just said?
I'd more than happily accept a bus stop if it is the only one in the town. It would make it unique and a central transport hub for that town. No different to a train station
