Why would Niantic not give you credit in the game you submit submissions in but use in other games?
I’ve recently submitted portals in ingress and received emails saying that they were good submissions but would not get credit unless it appears in Ingress. They did get pushed through in pogo. If I’m out spending my time, gas, physically walking trails to submit stuff for the company, I deserve the clicks on my game that I am playing. My goal was to make 500 new portals but now a lot of them are not getting pushed in Ingress so I doubt I will continue without getting credit for my work. I’m currently at 186 portals made and would love to keep at it if I felt like I would get the clicks for my approval on all submissions that go through 😎

Currently there's a lot of bugs with Wayfarer. Your submissions should show up in Ingress at some point but you may have to wait a bit. Niantic are preforming various bits of maintenance related to the Wayfarer system over the next week or so.
Wait what? There are portals that show up only in PoGo and not in Ingress? I think my brain just exploded. I started playing Ingress expressly so I could see the mystery POIs that got approved but never showed up in Pogo, so I totally thought it was the opposite. I feel like there are soooo many more Ingress portals than Pogo, since there's no one per cell rule. I have never yet seen a poi in Pogo only and not Ingress, but maybe it's super recent(?).
I nominate in both games now that I've levelled up enough (often ingress bc I feel the nomination goes through more often (just sending the bits and bytes, I mean, not approval)). Should I be strategizing which game I submit via?
Can you imagine how do all the Pokemon trainers feel when they nominate valid candidates, they get the approval mail and then there's no new pokestop or gym because nobody told them about the S2 cell rules?
It's up to you if you want to spend your time, gas and/or shoes to do the nominations, Niantic doesn't make any promise with regards to how they will be used.
On top of that, even if a POI submitted from Pokémon Go does appear in game, there is no reward at all for the trainer who submitted it.
In fact, the 2 or 3 gyms that spawned thanks to me in the city where I spend my vacations are constantly occupied by yellow players, which makes me sad but what can I do? It's the game.
We do get a medal for the agreements, I currently have the gold one, working my way to the platinum. Still, it does nothing, it's just decoration.
Only recently, and even then, seems random as i got a portal through yesterday, that was only submitted on Saturday (I upgraded it) amd its appeared in all games
I would like my name to appear on any gyms I submitted/created, just so I can say "you may be in there instinct or valor, but thats MY gym mwahaha"
As jokey as this comment may be intended thats probably one of the reasons they have never modified PoGo or HPWU to display the name of the person who created the POI.
Ingress was notorious for people claiming that a specific portal was theirs as they created it and could say look at my name in the portal picture.
Certain people took it as an appendage swinging contest to say this is mine everyone else, especially the other faction, get out.
Plus all the up voting of only specific teams or names on pictures made the whole thing a pointless ego boost
You can see pogo names on pogo pois now. If it was submitted with a pogo account of course.
Learn something new every day, assume its just like ingress and the name of the picture not a creation name ? Names in team colour or just neutral ?
I'll be honest hadn't checked a POI recently in PoGo as I use Ingress for all my edit and submissions etc.
Similar, yea. The Trainer name only shows up if you look at the photo. Trainers can opt out of it, too, I believe, the same setting that lets us opt out of "Featured Wayspot" credit.
I mainly use Ingress now too so it was hard to find one but I got it! You have to click on the picture itself so I think each picture would have the name of the person who added it and it doesn’t seem to reflect team colors.
The PokémonGo game benefits MUCH more by the addition of one pokestop, than Ingress benefits from the addition of one portal.
By "credit in the game", do you mean your name on the picture?
On agent profiles, accepted nominations is one of 48 stats. (Many agents make their stats private.) There is no Ingress badge for accepted nominations. (There was a badge 2015-2017, but it caused spam nominations so was discontinued. Most current agents started playing long after the badge was an option.)
Edit: If your PokémonGo account and Ingress account have different sign-ins (gmail/facebook), Niantic doesn't even know they're connected.
I didn't know that, time to change my username to "PlzKeepThisGymBlue" then.

You can see the PoGo names on photos on PoGo wayspots now.
Was referring to just your in game personal stat, and not a badge itself.
