Nominate button disappeared in app

The button I’ve been using to submit nominations for new waypoints in the settings of the app has disappeared. I’ve tried logging out and logging back in, and verified that I have the latest version. It can’t be that I don’t have any nominations available because I know I have one. Any further troubleshooting tips?

Because the button was gone I couldn’t remember what it was called, I’ve looked it up and it is the “New PokéStop” button that I am now missing
Submissions are down for a week for maintenance.
PokéStop nominations will be suspended for a week while we perform some maintenance on this feature.
