Welcome @NianticTintino. I'm happy to see that you have an education and urban planning background - I believe the skillsets you need in those fields are quite similar to what you will need here.

¡Hola Trainers, Agents, and Explorers! Thank you all for the warm welcomes, suggestions, and links to some feedback. Some of you asked if I play any of the Niantic games and that’s a yes! I play both Pokémon Go and Ingress and tend to slide from one game to the other while out with friends or exploring with new folks.
I’ll be reaching out to some of you who shared feedback and ideas. Can’t wait to see what will come from all of us working together!
Welcome! I'm a long-time birder who has gotten many of my favorite, obscure nature spots added to the map. I may see you out n a trail one day! There are lots of eligible submissions on those less-traveled paths. :)
I wonder if you might have some tips for new users on not only adding new Portals or Pokestops, but adding more IRL actual points of interest to better benefit the core database and the downstream games? How to work with local governments to identify public spaces and potential projects, how to interface with scout troups or youth organizations to kickstart improvement initiatives, etc. So many rural places claim a "lack of (portals, pokestops, fortresses)" when what they really lack is true places to explore. I'd love to use this community to help add more truly interesting stuff for everyone to enjoy!
@gazzas89-PGO The word that was censored started with grind and ended with the first three letters of Ingress. It's a silly word to censor, especially in a forum like this where someone might talk about GRIND INGress upgrades by reviewing. I've given up on trying to work around the capricious censorship and now I just leave the stars in place.
I wish you the best of lucks on your new position. Whenever you are around Mexico City, let us now and we can have a meetup with Agents, Trainers, Witches and Wizards and share some beers.
I think it's extremely important to share more info and educate all wayfarers on what is and what it's not a Quality Wayspot Submission at least in México, since on every Wayfarer group I am, there tends to be a lot of different opinions and very few consensus, wich results on lots of approved wayspots, but with very low quality on certain areas. And a lot of frustration that makes people to stop submitting and reviewing.
Here at Maldives, it is taking years for nominations to be getting a result. Some nominations from 2019 are still at voiting. It have been months even since upgraded.
This maybe because lack of reviewers. But because of this, existing reviewers are also getting demotivated and many has stopped reviewing.
Since you like hiking and exploring food places, it will frustrate you that german reviewers reject 95% of all nominated trail markers and restaurant, even though there is more than enough proof of its existence and the nomination is A+. Help...
In fact, Wayfarers are often pretty frustrated. ^^
It's really just 2 people in charge of the forums? 1-2 more would probably make that job less stressfull. Especially if we have to drop a list of like 300 fakes again at once. ^^;
Warm welcome, @NianticTintino ! Your bio reads oddly as if it were my own! I'm a nonprofit consultant with focus on education organizations, and my happy place is hiking in woods or near water! I started playing PoGo when my girls were little. They stopped playing but I was hooked. I turned it into an excuse to travel - I'd follow announcements of Nia sponsored events where unown or other rares were spawning and pick up and go all over the US... with no planning, just see where the adventure took me. Pandemic ruined that...can't wait until things get back to normal. But during the pandemic I was bored so started doing Wayfarer, and now I find it even more fun to give BACK to this game I love so much in the form of submitting and reviewing waypoints.

Welcome here @NianticTintino !:)
Hi @NianticTintino , which Niantic games are you playing on a daily basis?
Welcome @NianticTintino and best of luck!
Hello and welcome @NianticTintino
By the time you’ve read this far, you may have already noticed a pet peeve: the naughty language censor jumps on things you would never believe:
The censored word a few messages back was axe-gr.inding.
A few U.S. Presidents like ‘Silent’ Calvin Coolidge and the two Misters **** have also been banished.
Les Miserables et les Trois Ste. Maries are equally unwelcome in Wayspots or this forum.
I would be very appreciative if the filter could behave like a spell-checking service instead of a surprise.
Here’s hoping for many opportunities of learning, exploring, growing, and having fun!
Basically lol
Important query. Have you already pre-selected which AMA question you will respond with:
”Soon™️“
to? It’s a Niantic staff ritual.

Ongi Etorri! Welcome!
"Nature is my happy place! Oceans, mountains, rivers, lakes… any of those can make any day a good one. "
Too bad those are the places where you won't find any pokestop or portal to play.
