Does the nomination halt affect the acceptance of a nomination, I got one of my nominations accepted 8/10 a couple hours before the bug was announced 8/11. Would this affect the in-game showing of the pokestop?

It may delay it a bit (we noticed that PGO didn't sync the new POIs for some days), but it shouldn't cause any lasting effects.
The sync worked yesterday, though. So it should be online now, unless it does not fit all the requirements to be in PGO.
Hey where did you see that the Pokestop nominations came to a halt? Can you share a link? Sorry noob here, only have reviewed about 500 nominations so far myself, but loving it!

I've had 2 nominations accepted and they haven't appeared on the Ingress map at all, even with them being far away from any other PoI. Hoping it's just a glitch with what ever they are doing and they will appear in the future. Just weird that some nominations are appearing and some are not.

While we hope this pause won’t take the whole week, we’ll keep you posted when nominations are live again.

I am hopeful it gets done in a week. I had been saving nominations for a vacation in a spot that sorely needs them and has many great ones. Fingers crossed I get them in!
I also have multiple approved waypoints (3 of which are nowhere near existing things, like 500m to 1 km away) and nothing is populating in game
Its annoying really we get stuff voted down for obviously wrong reasons, we get stuff accepted and it doesnt show in game
I end up resubmitting the same things so many times
