Upgrade edits with seemingly endless upgrades.

Would it be a good idea to be able to upgrade edits ?
Some titles and descriptions I've seen are not spelt correctly and does not reflect the poi accurately it's like they are accepted no need to worry about it train of thought.
I've also seen incorrect placement's to purposely benefit a single private residence.
As edits of all kinds are in the system for months and when more edits are created that increases the edit backlog in the system and upgraded submissions continue to push in front of them also I'm surprised if I'm honest that the system is not completely blocked now.
Just a thought maybe a good idea maybe not.

A title edit is handled better by the local community, they might know the proper name of the place whereas a reviewer from the other side of the country is totally clueless about your local culture.
Fair point 👍🏻
Just they are in the system for months and more are added all the time.
I do all my Edits via the Forum. Ingame, it takes 2 years or longer...
Not a bad idea regarding forums and two years wow....
I normally do bigger discussions with multiple edits, for example like this:

I think an upgrade would be wasted on a mere edit. It doesn't add or improve the playability of the game, and technicalities like spelling, grammar, or placement are lost on most players. They just don't pay attention. If you are overflowing with upgrades with nothing to use them on, I suppose that's one thing, but unless the details matter more to you than your own submissions, I'm not sure most people will ever use them that way.
Then, again, based on some of these threads, I could be totally wrong. 😂
An additional benefit to suggest edits in the forum is that if you send them through the normal review process, a reviewer might disagree with your edit, report you for abuse and Niantic might "take action" on your account. But if you send them through the forums then you can send whatever you want (including edits that goes against the rules, or based on fake data) and the worst thing that might happen is that Niantic might reject your request.
And you can get yourself warned with it xD

I've submitted a clear-as-day title edit - a memorial plaque, the person's name is clearly visible on the photo in giant letters, and the Wayspot title is clearly misspelled - a year and a half ago. It bugs me every day to spin it (it's on my daily commute). So yes, I'd like to have this option very much.
When PokémonGo first came out, it got a LOT of press coverage. Most news articles mentioned that so many Pokestops had spelling errors, or were simply named something ignorant. So, Niantic coded to allow Wayfarers review edits. The backlog is STILL large.
I also have outstanding edits from a years ago. Yet, yesterday I got back and edit that I submitted around the 4th of July. Speedy fast! I guess other edits are in the same limbo la-la no-man's land as many waypoint nominations.
It's why I'm mentioning it in this thread it bugs me aswell sort of the same situation.
Point is anyone else edits take to long to do it via any of the game's and they just pile up in the system to create a edit backlog if you know what I mean.
You know, Luke, after the recent 30-day banishment wrongfully assigned me with legit name and location edits, I just don’t care anymore. I’m glad there is another way to make changes—i didn’t know this, and this is how I would do it in the future—if I cared.
Nia really hit a nerve not only with the “thoroughly and well-researched infractions” they said I made with name and location edits. They also assigned motive to me (to benefit myself in the game). Finally, they refused to respond to my request to talk with someone. Door in face. No business should be THAT short-staffed to treat paying customers as naughty children. Pathetic.
I’ve found amazing new things to do with my time other than reviewing and participating in the PoGo and Ingress communities Funny how mistreatment does that.
Thanks for the tip! You have undoubtedly saved some other folks stress and time. ; )
The great majority of the edits I see are from places I've never been and have no specific local knowledge about. Once in a while I see something I'm able to ask a friend who's actually local about, but most of the time, an edit from the other side of the United States would be just as easy (or hard) for me to process than one from 50 miles away in a place I've never actually been.
