Will appealing rejected Waystop submissions be a thing in the near future?/Should I resubmit?
I got this train station rejected:
The rejection reasons were:
•Doesnt meet acceptance criteria
•Is a living animal
•Bad title/description
Its a bigger train station, so it should meet acceptance criteria as an important transit station. There is no living animal in the photo (not even under the bridge) and calling my intense research bad is redicilous. I know that my researches are great and this Waystop would be the train station with the most efford in my whole city (most train stations dont even have any descriptions and the photos were made out of a train window...)
In case the "appeal rejected nominations" feature, which got teased in the latest news would be out soon, Id wait for it to appeal, otherwise I would resubmit. But first, Id like to hear some feedback on the nomination. Kinda sad that it got rejected because I wanted to submit it in order to replace it to three other invalid Wayspots since I dont want to be an a$$h0le to the local enemy fraction (Im a nice guy lol)
For better understanding, here is a Google translator translation of my description:
S-Bahn station on the S2 line between Altona and Bergedorf or the S21 between Elbgaustraße and Aumühle. The station was built in 1999 for 34 million DM. In addition, the station is home to three works of art, which were obtained through job advertisements and created by local artists. These should deal with the topic of "mobility". The station was built barrier-free and is particularly suitable for the handicapped.
Happy to hear any opinions :)

We don't know when appeals will be here. We also don't know if all rejections will be eligible to be appealed. I occasionally delay a re-submission for a few weeks or longer to get different reviewers. In the case of my last resubmission, I had a community garden with raised vegetables beds, a fence around it, a sign and it was located in a park. Unfortunately, when I initially submitted people were taking pictures of their apartment landscaping and calling it a community garden. So, waited for people to stop doing that first. You may dealing a similar issue and ordinary bus stops.
Maybe it’s a translation issue, but the description does not read well to me. The sentence “These should deal with the topic of ‘mobility’.” particularly sounds like you’re addressing the reviewer, but the whole description is choppy and awkward (again, this might be translation, as I know very little German). Consider simplifying into a single sentence: ‘The Allermohe station was built in 1999 to service the S2 and S21 lines, and was constructed barrier-free to allow greater accessibility for all.’
Then the information about local art can go on nominations for the art pieces themselves. :)
We don't know when - or how - rejection appeals will be implemented. However, I think you shouldn't appeal (nor resubmit) this one, because it simply isn't eligible. The S-Bahn is a suburban public transport network, and its stations are like bus stops in terms of eligibility (in other words: they're not eligible). They're not like railway stations where there is one for every settlement (or a handful for large cities) - there are dozens of these in every city that has them.
S-Bahn is not a specific term in Germany. The S-Bahn in my city is connecting cities (or districts) with each other. I wouldnt call it ineligible, its the only way to get to the city center or nearby cities. And they are definitely not like bus stops since they are way more important (and was bigger) transit stations.
I know that there are differences in S-Bahn between cities (and countries). I've lived in places where there was an S-bahn (or something very similar) and I've visited even more. Hamburg isn't one of them, I admit, but after looking the network up, it looks familiar. And yes, they're not the equivalent of the bus (tram, metro, etc.) stops you see in city centres, more like long-distance bus stops - which are still ineligible.
You cant compare bus and train stations. Most bus stations are bringing travelers to the next train station. So the train station is the important transit station since it connects multiple bus routes with the big train lines. Theres a difference in my opinion.
(Not to mention that literally every other station is already a Waystop. I know you should not compare the criteria with existing Wayspots, but thats still a strong sign)
Oh, I see. If they tend to get accepted because of the local reviewing culture (like old postboxes in Britain), I'd suggest resubmitting. An appeal will most likely be reviewed by someone who doesn't take the local customs into consideration (like me), and they'll most likely reject it.
Thats a possibility. I think, resibmitting us the better way to go, thats true. Thanks for the comments.
yeah, its translation issue^^ it reads good in german :)
but yeah, i would delete the first 2 sentences of the description
S-Bahn is like train, on maps with "S" and tram are the blue pictures... so "Allermöhe" is like a normal trainstation
