Max upgrade count?

While pokestop nominations were suspended, i did my best on wayfarer and i currently have 7 upgrades, 8th incoming.
I did a nomination, but it says 'next upgrade' and not 'upgraded'. My count remains 7 available upgrades...
So... This means i better stop reviewing because i'll reach the max of 10 upgrades... It was impossible to nominate for almost 2 weeks. It would be nice to hold more than 10 upgrades, so we are rewarded reviewing and that helps the community.

The maximum upgrade count is 1000, not 10. They changed it a while back.
From my own personal experience, it can take up to 12 hours for a nomination to go from "Upgrade Next" to "Upgraded", so be patient if it hasn't applied yet and has been less than 12 hours.
They changed it a couple months ago so the max you can hold is 1000 now - if you're at 7 you're not likely to hit that in the next few weeks. Also, "upgrade next" doesn't apply the second you make a new nomination, in my experience it generally takes at least an hour or two if you have stored upgrades. And if you make more than one nomination it can take a day or so to use the second stored upgrade.
Ok, i found in all documentation that the maximum number was 10, so hereby a warm suggestion to review the documentation (Dutch) if this has been changed.
I'm waiting 12 hours now and will be a bit more patient.
