How much Time it takes to show up approved nomination in game?

One of the nominations that I submitted in the past month recently got accepted and it is my first accepted nomination. But it is not showing up on the game map. I'll be glad if anyone tells me how much time it does take to appear on the game map.

There’s a sync every 24 hours, and it will show up on the map then on Pokémon GO (I’m assuming as you’re using a PGO account that’s how you’ve nominated it).
If you nominated it in Ingress, it shows up as soon as you get the acceptance email.
If it is within 20m of an existing Waypoint (or for Pokémon GO, additionally within the same cell as an existing PokéStop) it won’t appear in the game. The email will not tell you this.
If you have an Ingress account you can view the map at
where your nomination will already be showing live if it was not too close to other existing Waypoints.
Congrats on getting a nomination accepted.
The sync referred to above is the normal process that moves approved points into the game. It does normally happen once a day, but at the moment there have been problems and not everything is appearing as might be expected.
Mine got accepted almost two weeks ago, it doesnt show up in Pokemon Go or Ingress.
I just installed ingress and found my nomination on the map. But it is not showing up in pokemon go
It may be too close to existing Waypoints. You can only have one per cell for Pokémon GO. Or it may be delayed syncing due to the ongoing issues that @Elijustrying-ING mentioned.
Is anyone able to confirm whether there are still issues with new accepted POIs not appearing in Pokémon Go as expected? I had a POI accepted over a week ago, which is in its own S17 cell but has not yet appeared in either Wizards Unite or PoGo? (I don’t have ingress, so I’m unable to check there)
There is still an issue. There have been changes but it’s not clear what is happening as there is a communication vacuum.
There could be following reasons that your stop is not appearing:
There is another approved/live pokestop in the same S2 cell.
There is another wayspot within the 20m range of your nomination which is stopping it from appearing in Ingress.
I recieved my nomination on 11/12/22 at Home Gardens Park Jacksonville Fl and it has almost been a month. I do not have many spots to spin and only one gym and the out side neighborhoods are a little dangerous. Who do I contact about the stop not showing up ? Will this be one of those things that happens if it happens and I am just out of luck or what ? Every where I have looked says it usually takes 48 hrs and this has almost been a month
Has anyone taught you how to look at the cells? This determines what will show up in Pokémon or not. If no one has showed you then we can look at the cells for you.
People surely are loving to necro'd old threads, huh? 💀
Was your submission the Wooden Play House in the park?
Well they probably didn’t want to start the 100th thread about “where’s my pokestop”
Hello and welcome @OffensiveMe-PGO
it’s unlucky that several park items are close together.
There is a basketball court that could be submitted
Either end of the court would be fine
Is there something in this area
It seems to have a separate fence around it and a circular patch is is a baseball area? is there something that makes it obvious?
Keep within the red line and you would be ok
I'm not sure why the Basketball court doesn't show on IITC.
Curious
I wonder if it was one of the imported basketball ones 🤷♀️
I wonder if it is in Go ?
I forgot about those. Most likely, the basketball courts nearby show in Go but not IITC for me.
Right - the basketball court import did not affect Ingress. Not sure if it was supposed to or not, but it didn't.
Ingress also doesn't show wayspots that are sponsored on Pokemon Go, like Starbucks in the U.S.
Also, some Waypoints meet PoGo inclusion rules, but not Ingress inclusion rules.
IITC is a third-party app that draws from the Ingress map.
To see everything in Pogo (with no extras) go there and open the nominaton process.
I made the basket ball court a stop but my question was how do I find out when a nominations that has been approved will show up. There is a small wooden house in the play ground area that has been approved but there is nothing there. Everything else that has been approved has showed up in less that 48 hrs. Sorry if there is some where that gives this answer and just so it is said I looked a few different time and Googled it more than once. Do they sometimes approve things and the spot just does not get a stop or gym ? Is there someone I can contact to ask ? Sorry once again but I am new to this and just trying to learn everything
I have also nominated the baseball field more than once and I guess people think it ia just a empty field. The bases are still there but the ground no longer has the orange sand or white lines. The tall fence is still around it but it does not show up in photos all that good. I had thought about painting the white lines in between the bases again so it shows up in photos but any advice on this would be great
No worries :)
In this pic you can see the cells that are used for determining what does and doesn't appear in Go. There is also a black circle around each stop (Wayspot).
There can be more than one Wayspot in each cell but only one will appear in Go. For Ingress the exclusion rule is the black circle.
The Wood Playhouse At Home Gardens Park is blocked by being in the same cell as Home Gardens Park Jungle Gym so won't show in game.
Forgot the picture :D
I wouldn't repaint the lines yourself unless you have permission.
It's harder to tell from the road how it looks but even as a Brit with zero knowledge of Baseball I could tell what the fence and diamond, if that's the correct terminology, are.
I’m also in U.K. with little experience of baseball fields ( except from “Field of Dreams” and I suspected it was a baseball field from the minimal info.
I don’t know how they photo baseball fields for wayfarer?
Have a word with whoever maintains the field to ask for painting the lines or even a sign? It sounds like it just needs some maintenance. Or get permission for a community getting it refreshed.
it is curious that the basketball court is not in ingress.
This is the wooden house that was approved but nothing has showed up there yet. It has been almost a month
@OffensiveMe-PGO I reviewed that little house, and thought it was sweet! Might it be too close to the playground?
As @The26thDoctor-PGO has explained and shown with an image the wood play house is in the same S2 level 17 cell as the Jungle Gym so will not appear as a pokestop.
When it was accepted, it meant accepted into the lightship database. The database provides wayspots that may possibly be used in a game. Whether it becomes part of a game board is then down to the spacing rules that each individual game uses.
For Pokémon Go the rules revolve around the use of some mapping software commonly referred to as S2 cells.
Google S2 cells and Pokémon Go - Pokémongohub has a very good explanation.
The key is that in PoGo it only accepts 1 wayspot in each Level 17 cell, so if there is already a pokestop or gym in the game from that cell yours will not be selected. Which is what has happened to the play house.
It is disappointing and frustrating when this happens. To avoid disappointment when looking at what you are submitting you can check the cells and be aware if it will enter PoGo or not.
This is also why we are suggesting the baseball area, as shown in the screenshot I posted, as it is in an unoccupied cell so should become a pokestop.
There is a lot to learn but don’t be put off, it is very satisfying when you do get stops appearing.
@The26thDoctor-PGO , thank you I understand now. You explained it a little better. I feel that kind of sucks cause I have been to other parks and the stops are right on top of each other but the way you explained it makes sense. I was just wanting to know if they did approve nominations and they sometimes did not make it into the game.
@Elijustrying-ING the city is in charge of the up keep and it would probably take 20 years to get them to do something if anything was done at all. The is a small neighborhood and the neighborhoods surrounding it are bad areas so I dont see the city spending any money on this area. The park is real old and retro but the people in the neighborhood has kept up with it pretty good over the years. I had planned on getting some cheap white paint and painted lines in the grass between the bases so it looks like a baseball field. The grass will grow back and no harm will be done. It is a very large park and I have gotten 1 gym and 3 new pokemon go stops in the game in hopes of it attracting more players into my area and it has. Thanks to all of you that took your time to answer my questions.
No worries.
Quite often placing a pin 2/3/4 metres to the left or right will be beneficial to you.
You should definitely use the Wayfarer app and IITC to see the S2 cells so that anything you nominate in the future doesn't end appearing in games you don't play and wasting your time and energy.
