Lots and lots of 3rd party photos in Cyprus
Over a long period of time now, I've been encountering so many of these in reviews from Cyprus. Usually in photo reviews, but I've finally got a good example of a brand new nomination with a 3rd party photo as well:
Notice how the main photo is cropped from the supporting photo. Via reverse Googling, I've found the original here (#6 in the 3rd slideshow).
To illustrate that this is a recurring phenomenon in Cyprus and not a one time deal:
Not far away from where this nomination was submitted, I've found this portal with a 3rd party photo (original here); this slide with photo taken from this site (appears on multiple websites); this portal with a photo that has literally got watermarks all over it; this play area with a photo that also appears on multiple sites, including this one; this net located in the water with an actual stock photo...
This is just from a few minutes of looking around on the Intel map - I'm absolutely sure there's more.
Many of these might be fake as well, and not just with stolen photos - I'm not Cypriot so I can't easily tell.

Comments
Might as well just start documenting here when I stumble upon more.
3rd party photo is the one with the obvious black border. Original found here.
Can't find the original of the one on the left, but the black bar on top and the weird pixelization makes me strongly suspect it's taken from a 3rd party source.
A little more:
"Playground Park", photo taken from here
"Outdoor Tennis Court", photo taken from here
"Friendship of Nations Park", photo taken from here
"Dogs Park Area", photo taken from here
Couldn't find the source of this one but it's clearly a printed photo: "Outdoors Basketball Court"

Thanks for flagging, @SiIverLyra-PGO! We have reviewed the report and have made necessary changes to the Wayspots and have taken action on the Wayfinder in accordance with our policies. Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
Hi Giffard, it seems that the reported wayspots still show their stolen 3rd party photos on Intel. What's the reason for that?
@NianticGiffard Here's a specific example from a Cypriot review I got right now:
It's the same wayspot I've reported in my first post, with the watermarks all over its photo, and it's just one example; it seems that all wayspot have still got their stolen photos.
So it seems like most 3rd party photos, if not all of them, are still intact.
Earlier today I got a brand new nomination with 3rd party photos that I've reported via the Google form in hopes it'll get seen by the team.
And now I got a photo review, again with a 3rd party photo:
Photo can be found here (you need to scroll down a bit).
Looking around this wayspot, I've found more instanced of 3rd party photos:
I'm gonna stop here because I'm sure there's a ton more. But I'm sure I'll have more updates in the future.
Thanks for your reports, we'll have them reviewed.
Just encountered this one (reported via the Google form as well):
Location: 34.705855,33.117488
Source of main photo is a stock photo - which is featured here for instance. You can even see the green outline that's visible on the right side of the (badly cropped) nomination's photo.
I couldn't find the source of the supporting photo but considering its weird sizing and very bad pixelization, I doubt it's an original.
Location
1st and 2nd photos (from the left) can both be found on this page.
1st photo is badly cropped so it has a partial white border, and 2nd photo's lighting has been adjusted, but a side to side comparison very easily shows that they're identical to the source photos.
Location
Source of 3rd party photos
First photo from the left - compare with this photo (notice thin white border on the right)
Middle photo - compare with this photo (notice white border on the left)
Location: 34.963456,33.337022
Couldn't locate the origin of these photos, but there's a thin watermark going across the middle of both of them (it's more visible in the supporting photo).
Additionally, when you look at the main photo, you can very clearly see a black border at the top of the photo, as well as an arrow on the left side - it was probably screencapped off a photo gallery.
Reported via the Google form in addition to this post.
Latest in the collection:

Photo on the right is taken from this website. You can also see a thin white border (from bad screencapping) on the right side of the photo.
Location
Photo on the left is taken from Google Maps. Notice the thin black border around the photo (screencapping leftovers).
Location
Left photo is a cropped version of the middle photo, which is taken from Facebook - here.

Oof, this is a big one.
There are several photos in this review which I can't fit into one screenshot.
A few have got watermarks and were rejected via the normal means.
One was definitely spotted as a stolen 3rd party photo - source is here.
A couple more were found on the location's Google Maps page - but since I don't know when the wayspot was created, I can't tell if they were stolen or not. If the team can cross-reference the dates, those suspicious photos are found here and here.

Left and middle photos taken from here.

Left photo (with the very obvious partial black border, byproduct of bad screencapping) stolen from Google Maps.
Brand new nomination this time.

Main photo stolen from here
Supporting photo appears on multiple sources (probably stock of some sort), like here for instance
Also reported via the regular Google form.
Location
Photo on the left (featuring a thin white line on the right side from bad screenshotting) taken from here.
Location
Photo on the right stolen from here. The description was also stolen from the same webpage.
Location
Photo on the left stolen from here.
Location
Photo on the right is a stock photo stolen from Alamy.
Note that I've already reported this wayspot almost a month ago. Seems that the photo I've reported was removed (since it didn't show up in this review), but now the Alamy stock photo is there.
It just doesn't end...

Stolen photo (on the right) appears on multiple websites, including this one
Been a while. First report of 2022:
Location
Left and middle photos stolen from this website.
Location
Both photos are 3rd party and appear on multiple websites each. For instance, the left photo appears on this website; the other (an actual stock photo!) appears on this one.
