What rating would you give these Waypoints?

There’s been a topic discussed in Criteria Clarifications (https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/22553/uk-we-have-these-cycle-and-walking-routes-all-around-the-country/p1) for over 10 pages.
However I know that unless you’re looking to give/receive guidance on a nomination/criteria you may not visit that section so I thought I’d open up the floor a bit more.
I would encourage you to read through the thread before voting but will highlight some responses from NianticGiffard on it.
The poll should be anonymous (at least I’ve checked the box to say so) so you won’t be providing details of how you review unless you comment further about why you’d vote a certain way.

I haven’t voted, but I am interested in the results. I think my view is clear enough in the other thread.
It would depend on the image, text, and pin, in addition to the specific subject of the nomination. I would expect all reviewers to say the same.
The fact that people have said 5* concerns me a little. When I started reviewing I remember NIAOps telling people on Google+ to use less 5* ratings. Not everything is awful or terrible. I give a lot of things 4* and 2* for generally like and dislike and try to keep 5* and 1* for really love or really hate
That thread has had so many photos added to it form various countries that I'm not clear which, if any , we are being asked to vote on. Post examples 1 at a time, or do a poll for each photo (can you) and then you might get some meaningful results.
That’s true. I had intended it for the “National Cycle Network” UK ones that are mentioned in the first post of the thread. There are some examples provided within that.
Maybe open 2 polls, one open to everyone, one open to only active reviewers.
I have the feeling there might be different outcomes
The forums aren’t that intelligent alas.
Can't really answer, it would be dependent on the type of sign, if its a big standard directional sign to places that also has the ncn, 1 star, if the ncn is alongside/on a road, 1star, of its at the start or along a trail, 4 to 5 stars as that's how I read it with Giffard
There are two types of NCN blue signs.
Firstly you have the numbered routes. These signs just have numbers and the routes have been designed for getting from A to B and are obviously 1*. Similar to the numbered cycleways in London and often just follow roads (London Super Cycle highways).
Then you have the cycle trails, which are named. These trails have been designed for exploration, scenery, historical discovery etc. For example The Pennine Way is for exploring the mountains; The Crab and Winkle Way explores an old railway. The trails are often on purposely made cyclepaths away from roads. These signs will have the name of the trail on them, and sometimes their logo. I would consider to be similar to trail markers. Around the 3* to 4* region.
I would not rate all NCN sign posts the same. NCN sign posts refer to routes in NCN, not all sections of which I think are eligible as trails, however they do incorporate trails. Many of these trails will have a name, with luck they are even signed differently so we don’t have to worry about NCN signage, but some don’t.
I would not necessarily include all named NCN routes, for example the NCN “C2C”. This includes road routes that are not really “trails”, and is similar to including the A46 because it forms part of the Fosse Way (former Roman road). I think there’s a difference between an NCN route and a trail, and not all sections of NCN routes count as trails.
