Brazil Challenge Bonus Location/Hometown Location

I haven't read any information of what is happening with those things. They just said that we have to put there our bonus or hometown location. But they didn't say anything of what will happen after the event. Are we able to reset those bonus again or what. Because, I've been stuck in Russia for that reason per months.

Niantic announced they will not be resetting locations before or after the Brazil event.

But if you are still stuck in Russia, Giffard has been actively resetting those locations in this thread:

Thanks for the clarification! I haven't seen that. Fortunately, Giffard has reseted my Bonus Location from Russia. In other hand, if they are not going to reset the bonus, I will not participate in this challenge

Brazil for a year?? I did not know that! And now I’m stuck having to translate!!! Yikes. i did the Russian challenges, unfortunately picked a rural area with zero submissions to review so did not get the 10 upgrades. But I was able to reset my bonus location as advertised. I did not see anything, anything telling me that the bonus would not be able to be reset for Brazil. I am not happy
