So what did I do wrong?

Rejection reason: Nomination appears to be a natural feature (waterfall, mountain, lake, etc.) that is not connected to a man-made object, Nomination does not meet acceptance criteria.


Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria (CHECK)

  • A great place for exploration
  • A great place for exercise
  • A great place to be social with others

Must be a permanent physical, tangible, and identifiable place or object, or object that placemarks an area . CHECK

Must be safe and publicly accessible by pedestrians (indoor or outdoor) CHECK

Must contain accurate information in the title, description, and photo CHECK

    honestly there is not a lot to it. A tiny decorative bench (on which I do not see people socialise) and a waste bin. So for me it fails on your first CHECK .


    Not sure how to improve it for higher chance on acceptance.... I don’t think it is a very strong candidate.


    Maybe add the pet station in the main pic as well.

    It is because it is just the courtyard. Maybe tie it to a sign OR you could tie to what seems to be a gazebo in the supporting photo. The reasons for reject may/may not be correct.

    Without a sign or statue or fountain or other piece of art that would distinguish this courtyard from a flowerbed, I don’t see this getting past reviewers. It’s not the worst nomination I’ve seen - I think it at least brushes up against the exploration criteria - but I do think that, lacking a single focal point, it’s a very difficult sell.
