It mught take me a couple of days to ge to there
Where is the source that says that The Pokémon Company doesn't care or is not involved with how Pokémon GO is developed? I find thae thought that TPC is not involved to be completely unrealistic.
Where does it say that TPC decides the cell restrictions?
Why? The pokemon company is actually fairly small, they don't take more than a passing notice on their other side games. So why would they take interest on how many pois go into pokemon go? Why would they care about an arbitrary cell system that has already been discussed was rushed and the pois sizes were done based on ingress? Why would tpc be the ones to decide how to use niantics property?
This discussion seems fairly silly to me. Unless someone on this forum has seen the contracts between The Pokémon Company and Niantic or worked on one of their teams, no one is in a position to know who actually makes the decisions about wayspot spacing algorithms. Is it possible that it's specified by TPC? Yes. Is it possible that TPC has left such decisions to Niantic (whether or not TPC has the ultimate right of refusal for changes)? Yes again. Is it possible the decision is made through a collaborative process between the companies? Also yes.
Anyone outside the involved companies who says definitively who makes the decision on wayspot spacing in any game (other than Ingress) is at best engaging in guesswork. I have my guesses, but they really aren't important.
Where's the source that states Elon Musk isn't the one that decides which POIs go into each game?
I know who doesn't decide what goes i. What game, and that's the Wayfarer team. So anything else should be addressed with each specific game.
Doesn’t that comment imply that the decision on which waypoints to include or not comes from the team that works on said game? IE, instead of the wayfarer team making that call, the pogo / ingress teams do. Not sure how that would involve the Pokémon company.
