Only Seeing Bonus Location

Logged into Wayfarer not so long ago to do some reviewing and I'm only seeing submissions from my bonus location (Portugal). I skipped over the first three and now all I'm seeing are ones from Portugal.
I know there's plenty of submissions still in queue for my actual area (UK), so I'm confused to as why I'm only seeing Portugal.

@NicoSolheim-ING Based on what myself and others are seeing whats you work through the current avaialble reviews you will then be in a stuck in a cycle of "Nothing to Review". It appears its not pulling in any fresh reviews for people right now.
Joy. Don't get me wrong, there are some interesting Portuguese nominations but I prefer to not have to Google Translate every nomination
And again, only Portuguese subs to review this morning.
Those featured locations are getting chosen by the lvl 6 / lvl 9 S2 cells. The fist POI of the down left lvl 9 s2 cell of a lvl 6 s2 cell will get the featured nomination. They are changing maybe every two weeks.
I had that happen to me recently when traveling across the US. I never left the Midwest/Great Plains area, but I had the same Featured Wayspots as you. After a day, it corrected itself. I was going through some hyper rural areas, but I was always confident that something should have been featured locally.
Similarly, I have a friend in my local play area, who has had these featured as well and never gotten them to disappear.
If you have an Ingress account linked to the email you use for Pokémon GO, I suggest downloading and playing for a day. Hack & deploy & attack a few Portals in your area. Wayfarer seems to take preference of your location based off of Ingress, even if you are only level 1.
Actually that Cupid's Span portal is one Niantic use as an example or placeholder, as the actual wayspot is just a short stroll down the road from Niantic head office. I think that second one is also a placeholder.
Could it be that your location is right on the edge of the larger s2 cell, and no new portals have gone live within that region - therefore the placeholders remain without ever changing?
Thats possible. I believe that this can also happen when you do not have a home location ir bonus location set
I'm from the Netherlands, I have over 3000 agreements while reviewing from home, in the Netherlands.
My home location and extra location are both set in middle Netherlands
As of today, wayfarer seems to thinks I'm from Belgium. I'm getting French reviews now mostly, and from Belgium.
When I log into wayfarer the preview portals are from Belgium..
I checked my Google account and everything but I cannot find any clues on why wayfarer think I'm in Belgium?
Usually, opening Ingress game and play a bit in your area should update your position.
Otherwise, it's not abnormal to get reviews from neighboring countries especially for upgraded submissions.
I also read somewhere (no idea whether it's true or just speculation) but the more your rating is high, the further you may be asked to review.
I have the same issue. I am live in the Netherlands and have to review nominations from Germany/Belgium & France. These locations most of the time lack Google streetview therefore a complete review is almost always impossible.
Please let me review dutch nominations.
These featured nominations are being showcased on my account since the day I started reviewing. They are not from my hometown and both of them aren't from the same place either. They haven't changed ever, even though I have never been to any of these places nor have I set them as my bonus locations.
