to dispute the "claims" in this post:
1. The original plate is moved to a nearby location, with rust stains retained. Hence, it can deduce that this plate is not a new one but merely get it relocated.
2. At the very beginning, the author of the concerned post claimed that "the plate is removed". However in subsequent replies, the author claimed that "the plated is relocated". It shows the contradictory claims from the author where subsequent replies cannot support the appeal firmly.
3. Even if the plate is renewed, it does not come to a conclusion that the corresponding waypoint should be removed. According to the best practice within the wayfarer community, updating waypoint photo or conducting a scan is a preferred choice to keep waypoints being updated where games within niantic family provides ways as indicated above. Removing a waypoint because of renewing a plate simply jeopardizes the stability the wayfarer ecosystem and could not contribute the wayfarer ecosystem in a positive way.
While having other member stated a "Maths and Biology study group" supporting the decision, it's utterly irrelevant to the waypoint removal discussion. On top of those name calling statements towards other members, it degrades the quality of nomination discussion.
Making evidences precise and concise is the major factor on keeping the wayfarer community to grow in a healthy track, and I hope the points mentioned above can help Niantic staff to process and have a wise decision reflecting the reality at their suitable pace.
