Photo abuse in Newtownards 2
In a recent discussion a player highlighted 18 photos that he thought should be removed. Well it seems 'Snow White' failed to list any of his own poor photos so I will do it for him. As you will see these photos are more worthy of removal/punishment (as some are purposely staged to antagonise), than anything I submitted.
Regarding manipulation of votes...whose Squirrel pic went to 9 votes within no time of it being live.
I hope Niantic and the powers that be treat these photos with the same yardstick and issue the same ruling as with their previous decision.
Photos
1. Deliberately staged poor light photo with brother partly in photo.
2. Deliberately taken with lamp-post in the way of portal object.
3. Deliberately taken with lamp-post and a fence in the way and no church in sight.
4. Poor light poor all round
5. Looks like it was taken whilst falling over....more sky than subject matter.
6. Even the bro gets in on it.
And so it continues to photo No.
8. Where the staged use of antagonising props is utilised. This all from a player who paints himself as whiter than white on here, with the continuing listing of photos etc. If only he played the game with the same passion they might win a cycle some day.

Comments
Are you serious with this?
Waitwaitwait. Hold the thread!
I’m going to need popcorn before anyone else comments.
EDIT: thank you. Proceed.
I'll take some popcorn too, can't wait to see the tit-for-tat retaliation 🤣
This is a terribly embarrassing response, but it shows you were quite rightly feeling humiliated when your attempts at narcissism backfired. Thankfully anyone with eyes will be able to tell the difference in these two scenarios 👍
Oh dear, calling this pathetic would be an understatement.
First - This is a FAKE portal, it’s one of 70,000+ generic, mass produced postboxes representing the cypher of Queen Elizabeth II, subbed as a Queen Victoria (which are significantly rarer and actually have historic value.)
I will add that Ingress photos do odd things with dimensions so the full image isn’t always visible.
Second - This is a bad photo, the image is poorly centralised and the POI is obscured.
Third - No issues, the church sign is part of the POI, and is an easier focal point for AR+ scanning.
Fourth - This is just zoomed in from Ingress’s poor scaling, it clearly shows the POI
Fifth - Again, this is Ingress’s scaling when changing the ratio for key view.
Sixth - This is a gorgeous building and the night photo shows the aesthetic lights to illuminate it.
Seventh - No issue, the sign is part of the POI and is a more tangible point for AR+ scanning.
This is beyond petty, your local dispute is now going to waste more of Naintic’s time, when they have more pressing issues raised on the forums.
You were abusing the system with poor photos and acquiring a suspicious number of upvotes so action was, rightly, taken. You are not the victim, but the perpetrator and are just making a fuss because you were called and punished.
@NianticGiffard , can you do something about both @5ticksAndStones-ING and @JamieofArds-ING as this bickering between the pair of them is truly childish.
Ive seen younger pre school kids show more maturity than this pair
This is one sided abuse and harassment. Your post does absolutely nothing to help.
Except its not, they are both sarky to each other in their posts, and antagonistic towards each other
Well, the interpersonal issues are of little interest to me, but I will fight till the end of days for lovely nighttime photos. When I see requests to remove photos or reject candidates because of "poor lighting" I expect to see the regulation pitch black/indistinguishable photos, not simply photos not taken at high noon. Nocturnal players have enough obstacles to overcome, with no raid hours or special events at midnight: don't make us stop submitting, too!
I've said repeatedly in multiple threads that one should not blame other users in the forum for abuse despite sharing evidence. This practice entertains toxicity and blame game in the thread that defeats the purpose of having a healthy conversation.
I would suggest sharing such reports (evidence showing where other users are involved) through in-app support. Meanwhile, I have decided to close this thread for future comments.
