Cycle trails in a city following cycle network with a name

I have noticed cycle signs around my neighbourhood that are part of a named trail. The trail uses the cycle network, so it has the blue sign with the network number, but also the name of the trail. I have attached a photo from street view to show. Without the name ‘Downs Way’ I would just say generic sign, but it is a named trail that just uses part of the main network. Eligible as a POI?

Cycle network signs are always a great candidates. Named trail or not.
Generic signs are like bike lane signs. Signs without any identifying features.

Imo these signs are eligible and acceptable and the comment above with links to the rather large thread confirms that Niantic have said these are acceptable.
Thank you, better get submitting 😊
@AuroraPhoenix5-PGO
Do make sure you include details of the trail. Make sure the there is something about this point.
I really need to figure out how to link exact quotes, much easier for submitting. I tried to submit a national cycle network marker and just linked that entire thread, but using the exact comment links should help more
You can see the "id" of a comment by hovering above "Insightful", "Disagree" or "Like" on pc. Just replace both instances of the "id" in the the links I gave to link to whatever post.
What do you mean by ‘something about this point’? Like a junction?
I would like to know what they mean as well as the point itself is eligible and acceptable according to the massive forum post we had a few months ago. Links above in another comment for the massive forum thread.
I agree they are eligible ….but
It helps to distinguish one sign on a trail from another. So if it’s at a junction say so.
If all you have is “NCN 62 marker” then there is nothing to distinguish it. But if you put “NCN 62 marker, Reddish Vale “ then it makes it clear it’s a specific trail marker. It helps preempt those that continue to think they are all generic.
I’ve had much more success when making each one distinctive in some way especially in an overall urban setting.
So my nomination was ineligible with reason ‘Nomination does not meet acceptance criteria.’. With a lot of people who review ignoring guidelines, how can I get it accepted? In my area you only get an answer if you upgrade the nomination, I still have nominations in voting from May 2020! Is there an appeals process?
@NianticGiffard @NianticAaron how do with feel about this submission? We were told back in September these were acceptable in the very big post thread about cycle markers and trail markers.
You have my empathy @AuroraPhoenix5-PGO that is pretty much the age of my oldest NCN trail marker (June 2020) and still in queue status.
This is the marker I submitted
Which one would you try next or wait for more clarification? 1 or 2? I’m think 1 maybe better
So this is the one I submitted:
In absence of a response from a Niantic employee, would you upgrade another marker or wait and upgrade something else? I have two other nominations, (see below). I’m thinking number 1 may be better.
1.
2.
I think the one with the 30 speed limit would have a problem as that sign dominates the picture rather than the Downs way sign. So the bottom one is clearly only about Downs way and NCN 4.
I presume your description has something about Downs way a 153 mile trail, this section also NCN 4, point where it turns etc
The supplementary has links to both trails and something about exploration etc
