I disagreed with the comment above as one who likes well-defined nouns, not as a noun purist who would reject the example candidate if it was called a Gazebo in the title or description. It's an acceptable candidate regardless of name, but in the most widely accepted (that I can find in my research) definition, a Gazebo has a solid roof. The image shows a slatted-beam roof, more akin to a Pergola. The only item in the above post I disagree with is the line "it is by no doubt a gazebo". It isn't. It's a perectly valid shade structure well suited to group socialization, but it's not a Gazebo.
