Long Wait for Response to Invalid Wayspot Reports

The time taken to respond to invalid wayspot reports submitted in game has blown out quite considerably from personal experience. What used to take only a week or two is now taking months, still awaiting a response for reports submitted over 3 months ago.
Considering that to proceed to the next step of the process generally requires a rejected report, is anything being done to speed up and streamline this process?
It is getting to the point that either I clog up the system by submitting the in game reports again or bypass this entirely and just go straight to posting an appeal on the forums.

Agreed. Furthermore, invalid wayspot reports are extremely variable. An invalid report might come a couple of days later, or it will take several months and just feel stuck, regardless if I'm submitting the invalid report in the Sydney CBD, Penrith or Warriewood. Normally I have to wait for something to be actioned before I can even nominate something within the location to which the wayspot that is actually gone takes eons to remove.
Yeah it is very frustrating having to wait months to get rid of fake wayspots through the proper process. Then noticing that even more fakes have been approved in the same area since the first lot of reports were submitted.
Also (and that might become a different thread/question): almost always, the verdict of a report is "this portal should remain" even though the evidence to warrant removal is overwhelming. It's like the portal is looked at (if looked over at all) only a few seconds. Especially for portals that have been there for a long time.
