Rejection reasons go away when appeal is submitted

I just appealed a nomination that was rejected overnight for the odd-looking uniqueness.short reason and Low Quality Photo. Most of my additional text was focused on countering those rejection reasons. But after submitting, I don't see the given rejection reasons anywhere anymore.

Do the Niantic reviewers still see the rejection reasons @NianticTintino ? I had already made a case that the nomination was worthy in the original submission, so I thought I needed to make a case that the rejection was incorrect in the appeal.
