What is your opinion on Pokestops showcasing a painting on a wall?
There are so many of them in my area, some of them you are able to see from a public street, though they are basically located on private property walls.
I also tried to get a painting pokestop accepted (private property yes, but 100% visible when standing on the public street in front of the house)... should I try again?

If the painting is located on private property, even if you can see it from the footpath or street, it is not eligible as it is on private property. It will fall under the "Location - Private Residence or Farm" rejection criteria.

Not all private property is residential. There is a distinction between private residential property (ie single family homes) and all other forms of private property, such as private commercial property (such as businesses) or private communal property (such as gated communities or churches).

That's true. I interpreted the original comment as private residential, being single homes, but there are other types of property that may be private that are also eligible for artworks to be waypoints/stops.
