Two UI Feature Requests

I review 100% on a desktop computer, and I review a lot. These two things are both annoyance-level rather than blocker-level, but they're also daily pain points for me.

Request the First: Make the dots in satellite view clickable.

I often use the satellite view under Location Accuracy to try to sort out where things are and figure out if they're duplicates, but it's hard to do that if I can't click on the dots to figure out what the wayspot is. I have to scroll up to the Check for Duplicates section, make sure the maps align, and then click on the dot up there to figure out what the thing is then scroll back down to satellite view to look at what I was trying to figure out. Since the dots are already there please let me click on them and get the same "Title / Photo / Mark as Duplicate" popup that I get on the maps view above.

Request the Second: Make shift-click on photos work correctly.

(This may be more technically challenging... all my tech skills are back-end so I'm not sure what it would take.)

I often want to open a big view of one of the photos in a separate window so I can have them side-by-side while I try to identify the correct location. Right now the workflow is:

  • Shift click the image, and it opens a bigger version on the same page
  • Shift click the bigger image and it opens in the new window
  • Flip back to the review window and hit the X to close the image so I can see the review page

What I would like to happen is one of two things. Ideally, shift-click on photos would work correctly in one step rather than three. Alternately, it would be nice to have something clickable on both the main and supporting photos that gives me the option to get the full-size photo in a new window with one step rather than three.

My Javascript skills are "I can fumble around and fix/change minor things in existing scripts and eventually get it right, sometimes" so I don't know if this is a good candidate for a Greasemonkey script or not but it seems like it might be. I'd be happy with an add-on script but I don't think I could construct one out of whole cloth.
