Are there still issues with Photo Syncing in Ingress?

Hello. During the last few months of 2021, I've received multiple emails from Wayfarer congratulating me for approval of accepted images that I submitted previously for existing POI. Up to now, I have not seen any of these approved images appear available on corresponding POI. I am aware that there was previously some Photo Syncing issues with Ingress (per this post: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/16114/photos-not-syncing#latest), but this was last updated some time ago.
Is anyone else experiencing this same issue? Is this still a known, widespread issue or do I need to submit a support ticket to have this addressed?

Niantic has reported this as a Known issue, and is still ongoing, most of my photos don't even appear still. The most recent bug report is this one below:
Weirdly the photos will appear in Pokemon GO often, but not in Ingress. Sometimes, liking the said photo in Pokemon GO might make it go live in Ingress. Pretty bad workaround.

Can confirm that this works. Had a pogo person upvote the photo in that game and it took about 24 hrs to appear in Ingress.
