Submitting 360 Panoramics??

Howdy 🤠 Frens!

I just got a brand new 360 degree camera and I was curious as to what would happen if I were to submit a 360 panoramic Photosphere like the one you'd find in Streetview when submitting a Waypoint nomination.

I realize I can just submit my Photosphere to StreetView independently like I'm going to do anyways, but I'm curious to know what happens and what it looks like if we submit a 360 panoramic 🧐🤔 to Wayfarer as our Supplemental Photo.

Well, it's going to look weird, since it'll be that 360º photo in flat square/rectangle view...

But there's no rule (that I know of) against submitting a photo like that as your supplemental photo. MAIN photo... No. You're going to get rejected for that. But I almost ALWAYS use the 0.5x lens on my iPhone for the supplemental photo when submitting, to give the widest angle possible showing the nomination in relation to its surroundings.

I saw some and didn't like it, it looks weird.

I had done that once before.

I don't know if the error was due to file size, etc. in my case, but I was able to send the message but did not receive a reply, so it seems to have become a debris in the internet space. (LOL)

However, if Niantic aims to complete the POI nominations inside Wayfarer, I think your idea is a good idea.

Perhaps you could try to make it possible to upload multiple photos or photoballs in the supplemental information.

I have accidentally submitted a 360° photo as a supporting photo because they appear in your camera roll when you create them in the Google Street View app. It just looks really strange when looking at it in Wayfare but still got accepted

These have all been insightful responses! 😃

I will just submit regular supporting photos and upload my 360's to StreetView.

    Thank you, frens!
