Invalid Wayspot due to private property
Hello fellow Wayfarers,
the other day i submitted a wayspot, which i had no doubt in it being accepted. It's a scultpure above a house in a residental area and is therefore easily accesible. When i upgraded it, it got rejected pretty fast with the reason "private property".
I would like to know why it got rejected. To me the wayspot meets every criteria to be a wayspot. Furthermore the reason for rejection doesn't even apply to my wayspot at all. It's literally outside on a street accessible to everyone.
Picture of my Wayspot:
Picture of the surroundings:
with the description: "Der Architekt der Häuser in der Slabystraße gab jedem Haus eine einzigartige Verzierung über der Eingangstür. Das Wappen wurde vor einem Jahr zusätzlich noch bemalt und sticht so noch viel mehr heraus."
which translates to:"The architect gave every house in the Slabystreet a unique ornament above the entrance door. Additionally this specific ornament has been colored a year ago, which makes it stand out."

Comments
the problem in this case is the players. it is an ornament on a tenement house. not everyone accepts it but they should do it. do it until successful, or file an appeal in-game. somehow it will be accepted, but it will pass for a while
thank you! how could i file an appeal in-game? i didn't find anything there. i've seen people use the appeal feature on wayfarer in decemeber 2022, but the "appeal" button doesn't show up for me.
The appeal function is temporarily offline whilst Niantic fix an issue with it.
"It's literally outside on a street accessible to everyone."
That's irrelevant. It's on the house, which means it is obviously on the property of the house.
The relevant question is "Is the house a single family residence?" If yes then the rejection was correct. Nothing on single family residential property is acceptable. (This includes the exterior of walls or fences.)
Also, you cannot appeal rejected submissions here. This sub-forum in only for appeal rejected removal reports and removed Wayspots. Appeals must be done with the button in Wayfarer itself. (This function is currently disabled, so you must wait or just resubmit.) If you want to discuss why it was rejected you need to post in the "Nomination Improvement" sub-forum instead of here.
A house is generally understood to mean a single family residence. You should resubmit and use a word that means an apartment building such as wohnblock or mehrfamilienhaus. Getting a clearer view of the buzzers for the multiple units on your supporting image may also help.
Even when appeals are back, if Niantic staff simply copy and paste your description into Google translate, they may just reject as PRP too.
the appeal is already working. Thanks to him, I got portals that players did not accept. you enter the wayfarer for a given nomination or via email. can be once every 30 days.
Ah that makes sense, thank you!
And sorry, i thought i could also post wayspot rejections. I'll be using the "Nomination Improvement" sub-forum next time.
I'll try the same submission again then, but with the explicit description of it being on an apartment.
Thanks for the appeal, @Wurstninja-PGO! We're not currently reviewing PokéStop submissions. Please resubmit the nomination by improving its title/description if you feel that it was a valid nomination.
