Piece of art on a wall next to the sidewalk of a building that houses K-12 school or so

Does the K-12 criteria apply to a piece of art on a building that among other stuff houses a daycare?

The building is located next to a sidewalk and the sidewalk literally goes just underneath the piece of art as it is hanging from the wall. It is entirely accessible to the public and on top of it the side of the building it is on, is located on a side opposite to the daycare center. The daycare has absolutely nothing on the side of the building the sub in question is located on except for windows looking over the sidewalk from a floor above.

Being accessible from the sidewalk/public doesn't really matter in k-12 situations. If the building was an elementary school or high school, the art piece would be disqualified.

That said, that matters for this nomination is the purpose of the building. If it hosts a part time, minimal hour daycare it wouldn't be strictly ineligible. But if it has a 9-5 Monday thru Friday care facility and is primarily utilized for youth, it would be ineligible. It sounds like your building may be between, so more clarification may be necessary.

If the Google pin says there’s a day care there, you’re very likely to get a rejection. Make sure the map information clearly shows that your subject is detached and away from the child care portion of the building.
