How to remove / withdrawn a submission currently 'in voting'?

Hi all,
As the title says, need to remove (so far) a couple of my submissions that are currently 'In Voting'. They are nearly 2 years old so times change - one is a duplicate (no surprise) and the other doesn't exist anymore.
There is no withdrawn feature / button when it is in voting.
Is there any way I can remove them? Save / free up time for reviewers as well.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately no. Apparently removing in voting was a bug and they fixed it but we all thought it was a very useful feature so Niantic is reconsidering it.
Thanks for your reply.
That's really disappointing. Just found another old 'in voting' submission, this one is over 1.6 years. Looking at the location marker on the live Google Maps with some overlay tools, this particular one will be lost / pointless as other different accepted wayspots since will block this one from appearing within PoGO. If I could just withdraw the legacy one and submit a new nom just 1 foot away (but still valid) in a empty cell that would have been so useful. But instead... this is soooooo frustrating. But instead, can't do anything. Be honest, feels like users are being penalised as a result of how long things have been in the queue and/or inability to remove subs when in voting stage. Times change, things change.
Surely, I couldn't be the only one who has come across multiple issues (that's 3 useful reasons I've cited so far) because submitters can't tidy up their legacy submissions that was 'in voting' stage.
Ack.
It was the second question in the AMA so we should learn something soon.
yeah, it stinks. apparently they plan to implement it but it's in backlog (along with many other things).
Thanks for the update, fingers crossed.
Thanks for the reply.
That's positive. 👍️
In the meantime, just thought of a possible workaround - submit the replacement nom, do 200 (genuine & honest) reviews to get the next upgrade and then hope the new nom gets accepted before the original one finishes the 'in voting' cycle naturally and will later be marked as a duplicate. 🤞
Makes sense in my head, not ideal and can think of better use of the next 48 hours of my time but hey at least it is something within my control-ish.
Have a great weekend.
The big problem here is that a nomination can be in voting 1-2 years. Niantic needs to fix the "limbo" situations.
True. But reading up on the issue they have a massive backlog.
In the meantime, I have 6 months left to upgrade this new replacement nom before the original limbo one (1.6 years) gets actioned. Oooo, I'm cutting it close. /s
I hope if something is withdrawn after it is in voting all the people who worked on it get an agreement, so their time isn't wasted.
I hear this argument a lot, but I disagree. Rarely do submitters withdraw nominations for no reason. Frequently, as in the original poster's case, they want to withdraw because a once reasonable submission is now invalid or a duplicate.
In these situations, an awful lot of reviewers who made the proper decision when they originally reviewed the submission wouldn't be getting an agreement anyways. If I gave 5* to a playground submission months or years ago when it wasn't a duplicate, but that submission has been stuck in voting long enough that another submission for the same destination was upgraded and approved ahead of it, I and all the other reviewers who saw that original submission early on won't be getting an agreement when it eventually gets marked as a duplicate.
Getting agreements shouldn't be our one and only goal as reviewers. The system should work to help add great Wayspots to the system as efficiently and effectively as possible.
