Hello who to whom it may concern.
I nominate at a children’s playground in a park to be nominated for a PokéStop because there was no PokéStop there. I got rejected because it said it was a duplicate. I spoke to a friend of mine who nominated the playground for a PokéStop and they had it approved on 6/20/2020. But the PokéStop is still not in the game. Is this a bug? How do I get this fixed?
Thank you,
Steve

It's likely in the same level 17 S2 cell as an existing Pokéstop or Gym, and as such it isn't eligible to appear in Pokémon Go despite being accepted to the Lightship database. It may be used in one of Niantic's other games though, such as Ingress.
Remember that not all accepted nominations will appear in all Niantic games (and may take up to 48 hours to appear).
The above quote appears in your email for any accepted nominations. I suggest that if you and your friend are unfamiliar with how S2 cells affect Pokémon Go, you look them up so that you can better understand why some things appear and other things don't.
