At this days all emergency callboxes in place in NY are still functional.
Defunct was a fake assessment maked for the use as a wayspot.
So it's a public emergency service in function. Doesn't it mean it should be removed ?
(If not please at least change the fake Description and Title, so people seeing the Waypoint can know it's an actual emergency call box)
