Issue with false duplicate nominations

I have nominated two new Pokestops and both have been rejected and the reason for both is duplicate. There are no Pokestops for these two nominations however there are stops or whatever its called in other Niantic game, which can also be seen on the new nomination map in Pokemon GO.

Is there any rule about it? Can't there be a stop for two games at the same location? If yes why? If no, then what is the reason?

Hello and welcome to the Wayfarer forum !

When you add a Point of interest, it's added to a global database. That's the points you can see when what you nominate.

Then each game using the database choose the Waypoints it use (or not). Some are many games, some are only in one, some are in none.

If you see this point on the map, it means it is already in the database. That's why they were rejected as duplicate.

If it's not in use in your game, that means the game choose not to use it.

You or us cannot do anything about this. Try to find other points to nominate and enjoy your game(s) !

This actually answers a question thay was asked on the ingress forums, if lightship only waypoints appear on the pogo submission map, seems like it doesn't then

From what I've heard, you can force a pogo-only wayspot to appear in ingress by giving it a thumb up in pokemon, skipping this way the 20 meters rule.
