Statues on Church Steeples - Within Guidelines?

Hi Community,
Couldn't find any relevant search results so thought I'd post a question here.
Think I can **** some sort of statue sitting on top of the spire, looks like an angel...?
So are statues on church steeples treated as part of the church wayspot itself? Would reviewers mark it as such is probably a better question. Added bonus this appears to be in an empty cell away from the one the church is in.
Is it treated separately? Going to have a word with the caretaker on the weekend to see if this is any particular angel as well as any unique history.
Need to see it in better light.
Thanks in advance.

Seriously, the filtering is messed up.
Churches usually come with steeples. I would consider anything at the top of a steeple to be part of the overall "church", in the same way a "church clock" could not be considered a separate and distinct Waypoint to the church. Likely the church is already a POI, so any submission would probably come back as a "duplicate" of the church.
It’s an interesting one.
In the U.K. I have rarely seen integral parts of a church submitted or approved. It is pretty much always seen as one building.
Though the practise seems different elsewhere as there have been positive comments about windows and doors etc.
So who knows ?
Individual architectural elements of a building can be eligible, whether or not the building itself is a POI.
Must be Cherub statues. As long as you can provide more details about the statue, then I believe this can be eligible.
Off-topic, how come 'make' 'out' got blocked by this forum filter?
Thanks for your reply.
Marked as duplicate - yep, that's what I was afraid of.
So does that mean the same can be said for gargoyles? They are included as part of the building wayspot so again marked as a duplicate? It's a shame really because if the terror dogs actually did exist at 55 Central Park West you'd think they would stand out on their own as unique bits of architecture.
Might still see if there was any unique history. Could be a late add-on, maybe even gift from Canada or France specifically because of past connections. Who knows.
Thanks for your reply.
Doors and windows - interesting. Never occurred to me. I mean some of the stain glass windows and displays I've seen would definitely be considered as art and quite moving. And almost all of them have a story to tell.
Odd, never had a review come through that would match this or triggered this train of thought.
Thanks for that, given me a different take on things.👍️
Thanks for your reply.
This is exactly one of the responses I hoped I might get.
Fitting in with the whole explore criteria, it was only by accident I was looking up and noticed. Wonder if others ever noticed either. The trees don't help.
I'll do some more research, thanks. 👍️
Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, there are cupid and angel statues but they are on the ground so in my head I dismiss them for obvious reasons.
RE: Forum Filter.
That feature is working as expected. Niantic are fully aware that there are unwarped minors and elderly fragile seniors within this forum community.
Have you never heard of the popular phrase 'Nominate and Chill'? 😄
I have submitted gargoyles that were above a large rarely used door to very large church. They were separately noted on the listing of the building and it’s surrounds, and were quite stunning. But a straight reject ( not even duplicate)
That is a real shame.
I feel for those designers and artists that their legacy / their art is so easily dismissed because it is treated under the guise of something else. We should be celebrating them.
I suppose not everyone appreciates history. If only there was some sort of criteria that gets people to explore the surrounding area and see things of their own individual merit. It could inspire people and with the added bonus of a bit of exercise (apparently that's good for the health but that could be a rumour). Wouldn't it be great that they had - I don't know - some sort cultural or historical significance?
If only there was such a thing.
Sigh, it's such a pipe dream.
