Upgrade was used for the wrong suggestion

Hi,
I received an upgrade tonight, an it was used radomly for one of my suggestions and not for the one I marked for my next upgrade. This suggestion ist still marked as next upgrade.
how is this possible?

I also had this issue yesterday. The upgrade was automatically applied to a 2 year old submission that was in voting (for 2 years). The brand new submission I'd selected to upgrade next still has that icon and is in the queue.
May be this is also from the new feature to make it possible to stop automatically setting of upgrades. I turned it off and now I can not use it for the one marked as upgrade next.
This happened to me too. I had not turned off auto upgrades, I didnt know the option existed.
It has happened for 2 of my nominations too. Hope they look after this bug since it's been affecting so many of us
It's not a bug as such. Since they changed the system, the upgrade next tag has no meaning. There is a setting in your Wayfarer settings menu that lets you decide if you want to automatically upgrade things or manually upgrade them. If you have it set to automatic, then your oldest unresolved nomination will get upgraded when you earn an upgrade. If you have it set to manual, then nothing gets upgraded unless you assign an upgrade to it, but nominations already in voting cannot manually be assigned an upgrade.
