Cannot use upgrade vor "In vote" nominations, error E2

In vote candidates show the upgrade button, but you get an error message in case you try to upgrade them. Error message E2.
In this way I really don't like the new feature. You can only choose between not in vote nominations or the oldest nomination. This is much worse than the old way before the wayfarer update.

I’m having the exact same issue. I’m not able to apply an upgrade to a nomination that is already in voting.
That’s correct until early June. You can only use Upgrades on things that are In Queue.
