Why is this spot not acceptable?

Hello, a spot I recommended was rejected for the second time. Both times with the criteria "Private Residence or Farm" which doesn't even make sense.

It's a wooden windmill inside a community garden that is open all year. I walk through there with my dog at least 3 times a week. It's standing on an open spot and is not part of someone's garden. I even tried to show the footpath on the second picture.

I made it clear that it is an open community garden... why is it being flagged as a farm? What does Orientation mean? I made sure to place it right on the map.

Can I appeal this via my phone? I don't see the option for it.

Ah, you can appeal this to Niantic, but it’s five feet from someone’s house, right up against the boundary, so I get where the PRP rejection is coming from.

I think that getting this approved would require the “open area” there to have a name: “X Neighborhood Park” or “Y Community Field,” and maybe have that tagged on Google Maps. That would communicate more clearly to the reviewer that this is a public-access place for anyone to come up and use, as opposed to just being an unfenced extension of a neighbor’s private property.

    The orientation one is wrong.

it should be fine in terms of PRP.

if you are having difficulty then I would suggest at least 1 photosphere - you may need another as you may different angles to show the area. You just need streetview folllow instructions and make it public

Thank you, I went there today and did a photo sphere. Was a bit of a struggle but I managed to make an almost perfect 360 sphere. Now I have to wait until it gets approved and appears on maps.

The garden next to the open area is completely separated by a fence and it's visible in the sphere.

Do I have to link the sphere somehow or does it also automatically appear in the wayfarer map?

No. Wayfarer will automatically show the nearest Googke Maps photosphere to the submission pin.

I would accept that, interesting thing to find, and even look g at maps and your supporting pictures I can tell its not on prp (though it is right on the boundary, its clearly on the opposite side of the fence). As was said earlier appeal this one
