visual uniqueness

In "wayfarer" there are two different explanations for "visual uniqueness" as listed below. The first can be read as "visual prominence is important" and the second as "uniqueness is important”.

Is there a difference between these two meanings? Which is correct? Or is either correct?

"Does the nomination stand out from its surroundings? Wayspots that are easy to locate and visually distinct from the buildings and objects nearby make high-quality Wayspots and should be rated highly. If you think the nomination looks bland and will be hard to locate, give it a lower rating."

Review > Visual Uniqueness

"A visually unique nomination should not be something that is common in the area."

Visually distinct means it's easy to find - it stands out visually.

A single picnic table, in a sea of identical picnic table tables, is not visually distinct.

Nor is a 1-inch plaque that would be hard to locate.

I understand that "visual uniqueness" means "visually distinct" in wayfarer, and that's ok. Therefore, I think the explanation of "visual uniqueness" on the review should also be consistent with that.

"A visually unique nomination should not be something that is common in the area."

So, should this particular interpretation of the criteria be applied to the second, third, fourth and fifth iteration of an identical trail marker visible on the "nearby". At what point do repeated identical Waypoints start becoming "not unique"?

    Discuss.

I think the answer is "whenever you feel like it". This one has a fairly high reviewer discretion and Niantic has told us that a 1* for visually unique is not considered a rejection of the candidate.
