Improvement to the What is it Section ...

Would it be possible to have some more entries within the What is it? Some stuff would go great in categories like Outdoor Recreation> Youth Club etc ... Or give us the ability to submit our own when were doing the review?

You can choose “Other” and type in. If Niantic get enough of one item, maybe they will add it.
As for youth club, that may come under K-12 rejection, like Scout Huts.
Also important to note that the “What is it?” list is not a list of acceptable items.
The "What is It" list came from OSM, Open Street Map.
Niantic has talked about allowing edits. Maybe they're working with OSM to update jointly (editing-by-committee will take a while). Maybe they bought a copy of the list, so they could maintain it separately. Or maybe whatever editing agreement fell thru - I haven't heard anyone say their edit was accepted.
