Location rejected, any advise on getting this through?
hey there, I submitted this stand which gives information on booking boat rides in the town I live in. It’s fixed into the ground with bolts and has been there for the past three years I’ve lived here, it’s anything but temporary.
I’ve just had it rejected, and I’d like some help in getting it accepted if it’s eligible as I believe it would be. It’s someone’s local business, I think it’s interesting and stands out, is on one of the main walk ways towards town and the beach and past our local park (it’s just a couple of minutes down the road) and nearby a local shop for refreshments etc.
I went to appeal and try to explain why I feel it should be eligible but I have no option to appeal so thought I should just post it here for your advice.
i knew I might have difficulty with it as it seems like someone’s just chucked a sign out front but this is actually part of someone’s business and like I said it’s physically bolted into the floor and has been for at least 3 years, although I forgot to mention the bolts in my submission

Comments
I reviewed this earlier, & nothing really stood out to me, the sv makes it appear like PRP.
Your sub didn't really carry any weight, the description was minimal and the supporting didn't really offer any support, no web links etc, overall a really poorly done sub.
Improvements:
Do your research, write a decent description & offer links to websites in supporting that backups what you claim it to be.. and I still question the PRP of it.
Your big problem is not the "Temporary" rejection. The big problem is "Other Rejection Criteria". This means that reviewers don't think it is "a great place to explore, socialize, or exercise". You'll need to persuade reviewers it is one of those things.
Personally, a boat tour sounds like a great place to explore. If this is the location to buy tickets for the tour, it could qualify under that grounds. On the other hand, if it's just and advertisement and the office or dock is elsewhere, it will be very difficult to get it accepted on its own merits.
For primary images, make a habit of taking pictures straight on, square, and level. Even if this is 100% eligible with a good description, this nomination is somewhat likely to be rejected because of the severe angle of the image.
I also agree that it appears to be a private residence right behind that counter, which would make this location ineligible. If it’s not a house, you’ll need to mention what it is (not what it isn’t).
From my review history - As I said, overall it was a very weak sub, nothing in it really sold it to me, the effort was lacking and it does not make for a high quality portal.

This is basically an advertisement for a boat tour company. I don't think it meets any of the acceptance criteria.
That makes sense, Thanks for the advice. It may not go through as I think they have another stand at the dock too which is manned. This is a secondary stand that isnt manned. Looks like it falls under just an advertisement then.
Thanks everyone else for the insights. Appreciate it
I agree that this advertisement does not qualify. People don't meet at that box to socialize. It is not a point on a hiking trail. People don't stop there to admire the box as something unique. Plus, Niantic is not in business to promote other businesses.
I echo others here. I reviewed and believe rejected as PRP.
