Yeah. Not sure what that is, or if it should qualify, but it doesn't look generic for sure. The Niantic appeals have had trouble reviewing non-English language nominations in the past. That could be a big part of the problem here. What is it?
My brief trip to Google Maps doesn't seem to find the object. Not surprising entirely given the trees/etc, even though there are semi-close photospheres dating back a couple years.
I'm curious what precisely this geo-marker is marking though.
So, if I'm correct, its essentially a welc9me sign, but unlike most welcome signs, it had the coordinates for it, which to me would make it unique, so I'd be quite happily accept it
From a process perspective, I think it would be better to either use the appeal function or to re-nominate it. Otherwise, this forum would then be used to revisit every nomination that should be over-turned. And there are plenty of other nominations out there that were rejected in a questionable manner. Just my 2 cents.
Me personally, I'd still accept them, the games are locked off but that means when the war is over (preferably woth putin defeated and not fallout games style) then the people will have new portals/stops
Again, my point is from a process perspective. Don't think this forum is the place to ask Niantic to have any nomination revisited that is decisioned incorrectly -- since it could be flooded with thousands of similar rejections. Which is why they introduced the Appeal function. Anyway, it's a moot point now since it's now approved.
The OP's nomination was rejected by the Appeal function for a clearly inapplicable reason. That's why they posted on the forum. They wanted to appeal the appeal.
The nominator went through the correct processes to see this poi into the network. When those process failed to yield the correct result. They raised it with the forum. This poi was worth the bother of raising a discussion here.
@NianticGiffard Any chance my one could be looked at too as you said yourself in a roundabout kind of way it was acceptable and others in the thread said they would have accepted it:
it got rejected on appeal as a generic business despite it being a bespoke brewery pub with people socialising outside. Originally badly rejected by Wayfarers for no pedestrian access despite all the pedestrians in the supporting picture. Pedantic voters in my area..

I don't know what is that nomination, but I'm sure that there's only one place on Earth where such sign exists.
What is it exactly?

It does look intriguing
I'm surprised local reviewers did not accept it to begin with.
My Russian is rather rusty, but it seems to be the coordinates for the port and town of Murmansk.
you can find it at yandex.com.ge/maps/-/CCUNvPbOXC (restricted domain, so, just text, not URL)
"Murmansk - port city"
And city coordinates (unfortunately, not the object itself)
I would give it all five stars.

I don't even know what it says but I would approve, it looks so cool.
@NianticGiffard as most people seem to agree they woukd accept this, should it maybe be relooked at?

It's an appeal that got rejected as generic, thats why I think it needs looked at
What is the current state of play with regards to wayspots and reviewing Russian submissions?
Me personally, I'd still accept them, the games are locked off but that means when the war is over (preferably woth putin defeated and not fallout games style) then the people will have new portals/stops
I just wasn't sure how the land was lying in terms of Ingress, Pogo etc.
Who is getting Russian reviews? Finns, Estonians etc ?
Tories?
Wow, now it's accepted!
(probably multiple comments with screenshots of accepted portal will be below due to image moderation)
The problem is those things don't really work well

I’ll be doing that also

Apologies for the incorrect decision there. We have given it another look and decided to overturn our decision.
