"Strathfieldsaye & Districts Walking Trail" stickers - Victoria, Australia

Are these stickers eligible waypoints?

There are dozens of nominations for a series of small stickers purportedly part of the "Strathfieldsaye & Districts Walking Trail", in and around Strathfieldsaye in regional Victoria.

Standard text: "This walking trail was built with significant contributions raised by the community enterprise initiative. It connects Strathfieldsaye to Junortoun it's a great to walk or bike your way along this beautiful track."

The stickers are all exactly alike and as such are not named specific to the locations nominated.

For example:

The path itself is apparently legitimate.

The question is whether these generic stickers are eligible.

And perhaps also whether all of the claimed locations are actually part of the path. They are not visible in StreetView and none have supporting PhotoSpheres.

I think you'll find mixed opinions on those. If they were more permanent metal or plastic affixed to the poles, they would definitely be accepted (assuming the locations could be verified with Streetview or other means). With the stickers, you'll have more reviewers marking temporary or being suspicious that they are not official. I would personally see if I could find a 3rd party picture to show they're official markers when reviewing or include links to something like that when submitting.

    No - temporary stickers. Reject.

Sticker trail markers are fine. This has already been clarified. As long as they are official markers for a "permanent" trail. These don't just wash off when it rains. They are not temporary.

If you can't verify location, either by Streetview, photosphere, or a map of the trail, rate it 3* for location accuracy if you think it is likely to exist but you can't find it. Or 1* for location if you don't think it is there.

1* is for "cannot be found", which is a bit different than "don't think it's there".
