Appeal of Appeal...

Dear @NianticGiffard,

I ask you more feedback about the outcome of this appeal.

The candidate is the "architectural element" (the decorate arc) and it is not the hotel.

In the message of outcome, it is written:

"We suggest that you add more information explaining why this business is important for the local community in a new nomination. This can greatly increase the odds of this nomination getting approved."

Can you explain these sentences, please?

If you're submitting the arch not the hotel maybe take a photo of the arch and not the hotel name.

The current photo has the hotel sign front and center. Not just that the arch itself is overexposed making the decorative elements on it more difficult to see.

For re-submission I think it's very important that your actual submission is in the center of the frame. This is (or at least used to be) advice Niantic gave as part of their general guidelines.

Taking the photo will also greatly help you with approval. If I saw this nomination my first thought would be that you are submitting the hotel. Only after reading the title and description would I figure out otherwise. Then I would consider rejecting because the photo does such a poor job at showcasing the POI, but end up deciding that it is just barely passable, and pray that someone will eventually submit a photo submission to fix the issue. That would however mean I rate the overall submission very poorly, in the just barely good enough (essentially everything 3*). Combine my review behavior with those more lazy and quick to judge, or simply more prone to rejecting submissions and you have gotten yourself great odds of getting rejected, and I would think most of it stems from the main photo.

    Thanks for your feedback.

The arch is over the name of hotel (see to check It)

I received the outcome of appeal and I ask more information about it (I marked that the candidate is the architectural element)
