In Voting for too long
Hello there, I know almost everyone should be facing the same issue, but the thing is it is taking way too much time for Nominations to be reviewed. I had a nomination stuck for an entire month and currently sitting at 10+ nominations with 15 days being voted. I think that's way too much, I have been submitting and reviewing for a long time and this is certainly getting out of hands. Thus, I think something should be changed about this. I would guess many things have been discussed so far (first time commenting here so I don't know if that's the case) but we really need encouragement for people to vote. Thus, I think some potential ways to do so would be by creating a Wayfarer app for iOs & Android which would make it easier for everyone to know where to vote, as well as adding some potential benefits, items or bonises to reviewers' Pokémon GO and Ingress accounts. Those are juat some ideas on the top of my head, but seriously we need to do something. I'll be leaving my home place for an entire year and I need to keep submitting nominations so that my little cousins can have fun at the game by getting Poké Balls

Hello, and welcome to Wayfarer. Normal turnaround time for a submission is two weeks to two years. Fifteen days is only the beginning of a wait time for review.
If you’d like your nominations to be reviewed more quickly, more sure to do reviews yourself to help clear the backlog, and that can also earn you an upgrade to get your nomination pushed to a wider audience of reviewers for a quicker decision.
that's sad. It used to take like 2-6 days for them to be reviewed back in the day, something needs to be done asap honestly
Hello and welcome to Wayfarer.
This program is run by Niantic Inc, who has made a number of promises regarding process improvement, only some of which have actually been implemented. You’re free to peruse the responses to past AMAs to find some of the things we might have expected to see by now.
To give you perspective, one of my nominations has now been "in voting" for 14 months. Of course I agree that this is way too long! Especially perplexing is to read the (understandable) complaints that other people's nomination have been taken to "in voting" by Niantic recently within seconds (leaving no chance to edit spelling errors or the like). I have the no explanation for any of this. I'm not sure anything but an overhaul from the top would help with a system so skewed, disorganized and inefficient. Btw, all my other local nominations are still "in queue" 16 months and counting. I suppose eventually I will use upgrades on every single of these nominations.
yeah, had this issue with a nomination which comically was the only one with a placeholder cause there were no places to hide from the sun. guess they'll love my "to be edited" description
if only niantic was willing to hear us...
Nominations in my area usually take 2 - 8 weeks to reach a decision without being upgraded, which I think is a fair and reasonable amount of time personally. Sometimes they go quicker, but usually that only happens with upgrades. I don't think you really have much to complain about here. If you were waiting 6+ months for a decision, then yes, that is starting to get into the territory where it's taking far too long, but a month is perfectly fine.
Oh wow. I have an upgrade one that has been in voting for 8 months. I was going to whinge. But 2 years. Scraping jaw of ground.
After 8 months of being in voting - I want to withdraw it and resubmit as the main photo sucks ;-) Yes I would reject based on the image. Speaking of withdrawing. Be great to also withdraw from appeal.
