Level 38, but can't nominate.

Hello,
I have recently reached level 38 in Pokémon GO, but the option to nominate is still locked and says "Unlocks at level 38!" as if the game hasn't registered that I levelled up. Does anyone else have this problem or am I possibly not understanding it correctly?

Yes, it is a known bug. Niantic has posted about it in the General Discussion.

If you haven’t seen, they lowered the level, so you should be able to now
