Are those little historic signs eligible?

Hey all,

I've stumbled upon some of these signs with historic information regarding the streetname and I'm asking myself now if these are eligible as wayspots. What is your opinion on it?

Some examples:

    I would say that these can indeed be potentially eligible, as they provide educational/historical information about the naming of the streets. However;

    1. if every single street sign has the same tag? they become very "duplicate"
    2. they don't provide much information about the named individual
    3. like park benches, you're going to have to work to determine how historically-significant any such individual was to the local community. In my area, there are lots of streets named after "somebody", but the naming honorific at best implies "somebody with that name lived here once", not that they did anything special

    Those will be hard to get through. If you're up for the struggle, go ahead. If you want to get acceptances, try something else.

    A few of these have sprung up in the City of Wells in the UK. They seem to be getting accepted OK.
