Is there any way to appeal an invalid portal edit rejection?

Hi, I submitted a report for an invalid portal - the landmark that the portal is based on isn't there anymore! My report submission was rejected, and there doesn't seem to be mechanism to follow up with an explanation of "Hello Reviewer, look, the landmark isn't there, instead there's an empty patch of grass now, seems like a straightforward case for an invalid portal."

You can also appeal to the Wayfarer Help Chat
The help chat took care of a removal for me. I was able to link a news story about the mall being demolished to prove that all four wayspots were gone. Be sure to provide evidence like a geotagged photo.
