How long does it take for accepted waystops to be added as Pokestops to Pokemon Go?

So, I've been wondering, how much does that take?
Asking cause one of my accepted Pokestop's been waiting for a little over a year to be added to Pokemon Go, and a while ago, a few blocks away, two Pokestops have been added in the span of a few days, both pretty close to each other.
Is there like, a set timer for Pokestops to be added, or do higher-ups somewhere moderate what's being added where?
This isn't a complaining post btw, just asking out of curiosity.

It’s usually 48 hours unless there’s some sort of glitch. In case You aren’t already aware, not all accepted nominations become pokestops. There are spacing rules called cells that determine whether or not it will appear.
If you post the coordinates of the accepted wayspot someone will help you and hopefully explain why it isn't showing in game for you.
if mine are approved by 10:00am-10:30am EST they will be in the game that day at 2:15pm EST sharp in Pokemon go. As far as ingress goes. Don't hold your breath.
Same exact times here. Except one from February that never appeared for some reason. Yes it was in its own cell and yes was a good 80m from the nearest poi. 450+ accepted poi so I know reasons why things do not appear and this one has 0 reasons why it should not. No schools, cemeteries or emergency response units nearby. It is a total mystery. In a park too. Still patiently waiting for it to appear 😴.
never had that happen
This one. It is located on a corner with a sidewalk next to a business. Greenville, SC in Cleveland Park next to the rock quarry. (34.8420875, -82.3930226)
I would try Pokémon Go support @DEMARTIN0-PGO I don’t know if you get an answer that gives you clarity but the issue seems to be with the appearance in PoGo. I suspect that the complex has requested no pokestops and you can ask that directly. If you get nowhere with that you could try tagging staff here to see if they can look into it.
Never tried contacting them. Not overly concerned about it as far as game play goes, but it annoys me for some reason every time I pass by wondering why it is not in game so I guess now is a better time than any to see what exactly happened. Thank you for the advice. @NianticGiffard theres step one. haha
Mines it’s been weeks on the voting process,
Even in my relatively well-populated, POI-dense area, I've seen a massive slowdown of late. In part, I do hold Niantic responsible - they made a huge effort to get more Submitters in play, but no similar effort to get more reviewers. Most of my Pokemon Go friends don't even have the Wayfarer badge unlocked, and few have attempted to submit anything. My Ingress friends were formerly steady reviewers, but most have given up in despair due to the flood of coal and the fact that they don't really submit so don't need upgrades.
I really wish that the focus of Wayfarer access was on REVIEWING - because with more reviewers, there are more approved wayspots, and with more wayspots, there are more game players reaching a level where they can also submit, and review to gain upgrades...and so the wheel turns. If reviewing slows or stops, fewer new in-game POI appear, submitters grow frustrated, and fewer people level up. We're a powerful bunch!
I've read through the replies... I understand the cell explanation, but all of my accepted nominations are in INGRESS but not Pokemon Go... does anyone know why this is happening??
You would have to post them to give a better idea of what's going on.
Ingress doesn't use cells. Instead the requirement is that a new wayspot must be at least 20 metres away from an existing portal in order to make it into Ingress. Each of Niantic's games has different proximity rules that do not have any effect on the other games.
I did have a similar thing happen earlier this year: my nomination was in its own cell, on public land, at the start of an official trail. It never appeared in Pokemon Go because, I think, it's in the same general area of a cemetery that's across the street. That cemetery blocked all Pokemon Go content very early on due to misbehavior and disrespect, while the Ingress portals remained. I think the geofence is blocking, or maybe the fact that the trail runs alongside another different cemetery (one that does not prohibit Pokemon Go objects) but can't be sure that's what it is and not some random sync error. In my photo, the Blue-bordered cemetery is the one blocked, the Yellow-bordered cemetery is owned by a different group and has never blocked Pokemon content, and my poor Trailhead shows just fine in Ingress. I don't think there's much I can do about it besides report it to Support in game and I don't think they'll take any action. 😞
If you understand the cell explanation then it should be clear.
@SlayerofCampers-PGO
Here is an attempt to explain the system.
Although the impression you are given when you submit something is that you are submitting to be a pokestop the reality is that you are submitting something with the potential to be a pokestop.
Once your nomination is approved, it is accepted into the Lightship database - this holds all approved wayspots and is separate from all Niantic games. That is the end point of wayfarer, and what happens next is not related to wayfarer.
Each game sets its own rules as to what it will take from the database to use in that particular game.
For Pokémon Go the rules revolve around the use of some mapping software commonly referred to as S2 cells it breaks down the surface into smaller and smaller cells - each size is referred to as level and a number.
Google: S2 cells and Pokémon Go - Pokémongohub has a very good explanation.
The key is that in PoGo it only accepts 1 wayspot in each Level 17 cell, so if there is already a pokestop or gym in the game in that cell, yours will not be selected to enter Pokémon Go.
Ingress uses a simple 20m rule, not S2 cells. So to be selected from Lightship to come into Ingress it only needs to be 20m from another point.
Other games will have other rules.
So there are some accepted points that will not meet the rules of either game, some will be Pokémon Go only, some Ingress only and some both.
If you provide the Co ordinates we can look and see if we can work out what is happening.
