Individual Disc Golf Holes still being submitted and accepted

Please remove in game disc golf individual holes if you don't want them accepted. At least put the statement from @NianticGiffard that they are generic and ineligible somewhere all reviewers and submitters will see it.

It would be disingenuous of me to start accepting these since I do know better, but I am looking at 18 more missed agreements because most reviewers will see them in game and approve. Not even bothering to make a ticket for this set.
Comments
Of course, the screenshot went into review, but this comment was made in a pokemon go facebook group tonight
"do you use a map to plan submissions? So you can fit more into the game? I found placement on one end of the court or the other could mean getting another gym, or not even showing up in the game.
Also, the hole map signs like "Hole 1" are not eligible, BUT lately they HAVE been getting accepted, hint, hint"
Facebook Post from local group
@NianticGiffard or @NianticOtoStar since Giffard is not answering these days. I get many nominations daily for individual disc golf tees that I reject per the comment here: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/158395#Comment_158395
But ever since Niantic decided to leave those earlier tees in game, they are being submitted all through my review area, and they are all going through. I am tired of not getting agreements. Do you plan to make these meet removal criteria anytime soon?
Or should I just go with the crowd and accept them?
I am noticing these being submitted and accepted in my area as well.
I would say mass report them as duplicates, due to the fact that there should be only one wayspot for the course, but realistically it shouldn't be up to us to have to do that. Reviewers and submitters should have this information more clearly known about and available to them.
I did that for one course and they left them all in.

I try to skip disc golf holes when I review, because I'm almost certain to get a disagreement.
If Niantic is ok with individual disc golf holes, I'll accept them. But I'm following the prior guidance of 'one wayspot for the course'.
@NianticGiffard @NianticOren unless you start removing these individual tees, more will be accepted. Please either decide they meet removal criteria or make them eligible. Skipping every tee nomination for now.
I also reviewed some of them in germany and several all of them were accepted. I reject them, but what exactly is the reason I should reject them? Aren't they some kind of exercise station?
For me it's because the area is all part of the playing field and gamers wandering around the area staring at their phones can interfere with the disc golfers' game. Of course, the tees themselves are generally not next to the baskets, but most disc golf courses require you to walk across the field of play to reach the next tee. If you're playing disc golf, you're likely looking around the course and somewhat aware. If you're playing pokemon with your head in your phone, hurriedly catching pokemon on your way to a raid, you're pretty oblivious.
Has Niantic ever stated the reason for them to be ineligible? I mean your explanation makes sense, but some official statement would be nice @JillJilyJabadoo-PGO
I would imagine the reasoning is similar to multiple park signs for the same park:
NianticCasey-ING: In order for multiple entrances to the same park to be considered eligible, they would need to be either unique and differentiate-able from one another or far enough from one another to truly be independent from one another. The same sign at two different sides of a small park would not be far or unique enough to be considered separate Wayspots.
The only thing I found from Niantic was this: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/158395#Comment_158395
There may be an old AMA or something. Of course, as you know, Niantic is not in the communication business. So waiting for an official statement...
Still being submitted and can see accepted ones on the duplicates row - if you don't think these are eligible as @NianticGiffard said, then you need to remove the existing ones. But I will continue to follow the clarification and reject.
When you mark as ineligible and duplicate, are you appealing the decisions Niantic makes to not remove them?
No, there is absolutely no correlation between our ratings and Niantic comments. They don't even make sure different Niantic comments match each other. They certainly don't look at ratings as a source of learning, to make better comments.
Today's first review of the day - Supporting statement: "I'm pretty sure GO is allowing these now."
Sigh 🙄🙄🙄
Um what are you talking about? I reported duplicates. They denied it. I appealed it on here and they agreed to remove it and it was removed.
Oh here is a different twist to submitting every disc golf tee - submit the trail markers that lead to the tees. Still has people wandering around the disc golf course on their phones not paying attention. If Niantic doesn't want that, they need to remove these. I don't know how I haven't seen these to review before now, but I am just going to skip.
The post from the Niantic Employee states "generic" golf holes. I think that "generic" adjective shouldn't be discounted. Instead of auto rejecting every individual hole I think we should be considering if the individual holes are generic to the area
I don't disagree that the majority of cases would meet this criteria. I also think the "locally generic" criteria could be applied to even more submissions than just disk golf courses. I see plenty of submissions that aren't technically duplicates but are generic to the local area. If these objects are dispersed in such a manner that they form walking paths for exploration, there should be additional consideration given. If they're clumped together such that they create an activity hub of generic trash, they should all be removed.
What I would argue for isn't clearer guidelines on what is acceptable. What I'd like to see is a modification to the "check for duplicates" section of the review screen. Allow us to select a group of localized submissions as visually similar. Niantic can then process these submissions as they see fit rather than relying on unhomogenized group think and mismatched messaging to keep the garbage organized.
And here we go - another Disc Golf Course in North Carolina with every hole being nominated because reviewers see them being accepted. If Niantic does not want these in game, they need to be removed. @NianticTintino-ING can you add these to the list of clarifications?
And ANOTHER disc golf course with every hole starting to be submitted because they are being accepted here. @NianticOtoStar I think you are the person who answers here now. Will you please revisit the individual disc golf hole question? Either say they qualify now or that Niantic will add them to the removal criteria. Here is the last Niantic comment I got about these: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/158395#Comment_158395
And another new one for me ...
I passed by a golf course today and wondered if there had been an update about it. Guess not. I’ll just leave it (or use my Pokémon GO nominations and put them all On Hold until a decision) I guess.
If the disc golf sign ALSO has a trail marker, then the space was built for both activities, and it's acceptable as a trail.
If it's not an official trail, then all the signs, etc are only there because it's a disc golf course. IOW If the course didn't exist, the signs wouldn't either. You can't pretend that's a trail.
The disc golf goal would be the least safe - that's where people are aiming. A heavy disc is used for golf (so it's not as affected by the wind). It could give a good knock. A footbridge along the disc golf course also could be dangerous, if not designed for non-golfers.
If the nomination is the disc golf TEE, the place itself should be pretty safe (everyone throws FROM the tee, not TO it). But could you get there safely? Like, if a sidewalk ran thru the park, and a teebox is only a couple steps from the sidewalk... that's different. Probably OK.
Here we go - spreading to Virginia - also in my review area.
I wouldn't mind accepting disc golf holes if Niantic was ok with it. In the past they've not been. However, they often get accepted, so I usually skip to avoid the disagreement.
oh here's another disc golf course with individual holes accepted. if they should not be accepted as @NianticGiffard said, then these need to be removed from the games. i don't know who to tag to get a new opinion - @NianticTintino-ING since you did the results of the criteria challenge, could you weigh in? i am tired of getting disagreements when i review per clarification. that previous comments was here: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/comment/158395#Comment_158395
