Pokestop disappeared but the portal is there.

A pokestop suddenly disappeared, but the portal is still there . No new portal has been added or edited to that cell for the pokestop to disappear though.

Name of the portal: MITRAPARA DURGA MANDAP.

A couple in my town have disappeared overnight too but still showing in Ingress. No reason whatsoever why they should be removed.

In your case, the Methodist Chapel is in the same level 17 S2 cell as Old Town Wall Arches.

I do note that looking at a certain website where people can map out Pokéstops and Gyms that the Chapel looks like it may have recently been moved from a different level 17 S2 cell into the one it's currently in. This would explain why it disappeared, as edits cause cells to update to conform to the 1 Pokéstop or Gym per cell rule, even if the rule was previously being broken. I'm guessing the other one that disappeared may have met the same fate.

The location of the pokestop hasn’t been edited. I checked it. The cell had 3 portals . One of them became a gym and other a pokestop. It has always been like this. So I don’t get why now of all time it would suddenly cease to exist.

well, That’s quite a disappointment. It was a great place for hanging out and dropping a lure module, but I guess its over.
