Restore valid waypoint - Gruyere Cheese Feature Wall
Title of the Wayspot: Gruyere Cheese Sculpture
Location: https://intel.ingress.com/?pll=-37.820904,144.94322
City: Melbourne
Country: Australia
The waypoint is a legitimate submission as it is separate feature from the building which has existed as a waypoint in all games as the building itself has a unique sculptural form of an exoskeleton which some have interpreted as looking like cheese and hence named the waypoints as such.

The wall in question (albeit not a sculpture) is a feature wall that is visually very different from the entire building and is an eye-catching piece of work to anyone who goes by. It has been appealed and removed twice now by one player in the area whose main gaming objective appears to be to remove every waypoint possible to challenge (which is the real abuse here), claiming others are abusing the system and suggesting warnings for other players submitting legitimate waypoints.
There has been no abuse since the submission has made it in twice as voted by the Wayfarer community. It has even been featured on the Wayfarer showcase page back in June after it was deleted once.

Please restore the waypoint and stop deleting it at the multiple requests of one player who is in fact the one trying to abuse the system. He’s only played for less than a year and there are 4 pages of portal removal appeals on Wayfare insinuating abuse by everyone else playing any Niantic games in the area, which is a sad show of poor sportsmanship.
The waypoint can be renamed to a feature wall instead of a sculpture, if it will clear up the confusion or ideas of duplication
Most people do not have the time to fiddle around with waypoints and are out playing the games as they are intended, not spending time harping on about waypoints that cannot be found.
Niantic, kindly also look into the abuse of the system by players submitting many removal requests in a short span of time.

Thanks for the appeal, Explorer. We gave this a second look and stand by our decision to retire the Wayspot in question.
